Spokes NT Ride – We’re going to Humpty Doo

We haven’t ridden Geoff’s trails at Humpty Doo, so this Saturday, we’ll do just that.  If haven’t ridden these trails, they’re well worth doing.

This will be an intermediate ride.  It’s fair to say these trails can be fairly challenging in terms of skills and fitness. If you’re up for it, it’s well worth your time.

Meet at 260 Trippe Road Humpty Doo.
Time:  4:45 for a 5pm Start

Bring:  Bike, basic spares and water.  Helmets are essential.
This will be a HOT ride, make sure you have plenty of water, as there’s none available on the trail.

If you’d like to bring some drinks for a post-ride ride refreshment, please do so.

Spokes Saturday Ride – Lee Point Trails

We’re heading back to the Lee Point Trails this Saturday.  Do join us.

This will be an easy (ish) ride.  Meaning, most of the ride will be easy, with a couple of minor terrain challenges along the way. It will be suitable for beginner riders, but you may feel more comfortable walking a few obstacles.

There will plenty of stops to catch-up and rehydrate.

Meet: Rapid Creek Bridge, opposite the Beachfront Hotel
Time: 4:45 for a 5pm start.

Bring: Water, basic spares. Helmets are essential.

Spokes Saturday. Pumphouse.

This Saturday’s ride will be a challenge. The pumphouse track. This a a tough little track which proves to be equally challenging and rewarding for all riders.  This will challenge in terms of fitness and technical ability. It’s fair to say this ride is not suited for beginner riders.

We only do a couple of harder rides each year.  This is one of them. We’ll follow up with an easy ride next week.

Meet: Winnellie Hotel, at the rear car park.
Time: 4:45 for a 5pm start
Level: Intermediate to Advanced riders.

Bring sufficient water and spares.  Helmets are essential!

Spokes NT Saturday Ride – Pine Forest

We’re going to do one of our favourite rides again, pine forest.  It’s easy, fun and suitable for rides or all skill levels.
We’ll keep the pace easy, there will be plenty of stops to catch up and rehydrate.

With the weather getting a bit hotter now, be sure to bring plenty of water.

Meet: Corner of Stow Road and Howard Springs Road
Time: 4:45 for a 5pm start.

Bring the usual.  Basic spares and water.  Helmets are essential.

Spokes NT Ride – Casuarina Coastal Reserve

This Saturday’s ride will be take in Casuarina Coastal Reserve, including the Lee Point trails.  There’s a wide diversity of trails, taking in the coastal vine forest.  There’s something for everyone.

This will be an easy ride, and beginners are welcome.

Spokes Saturday – Sanderson Middle School

Late ride notice. We’re going to back to School.  Sanderson Middle School has a excellent little set of bumps, jumps and rollers.  They are fun, and fun is good.

It’s suitable for beginner to intermediate riders and beyond.  You can ride as much or as little as you like. In fact you can just watch the others if that’s your thing.

Meet: Sanderson Middle School Corner of Patterson ST and Matthews Road. Anula
Time: 4:45 for a 5pm start.

It’s time for a bit of a play in our own back yard.  Palmerston Urban Ride!

We’re going to ride some hidden (and not so hidden) trails in the greater Palmerston area. Come explore your back yard.

Spokes NT Ride – Urban Ride

This Saturday – Urban ride time.  Come for a jaunt around Darwin City’s hidden (and not-so-hidden) trail gems.

We’ll tour around the city and ride a few hidden urban obstacles.  There will be drops, ledges and stair rides. Urban rides are great for riders of all abilities and fitness because every site has an option to ride as much or as little as you like.

Meet: Stokes Hill Wharf.
Time: 4:45 for a 5pm start.

Following the ride, we’ll be stopping at the wharf eatery for dinner if you’d like to join us.

Spokes NT Ride – DORC Race Preview

This Saturday, we’re going to preview the course for the Blue Cycles Saturday Session.  It will be a tour of the race course, lead by Keogh.

This will be an opportunity to familiarise yourself with the course and had a fun ride.

Time: 4:45 for a 5pm start.
